2. Data handled by the app

Data we do not collect

Our app code does not collect, store, log, or directly transmit keystrokes, handwriting strokes or candidates, composing text, cursor context, passwords, PINs, one-time codes, existing clipboard contents, contacts, or location. Typing and recognition are processed in memory, and only text you select is delivered to the app you are using.

Settings stored on your device

We store layout selection and order, starting layout, left or right position, settings version, and handwriting model consent and installation status. iOS uses App Group settings and Android uses app-private DataStore. Google ML Kit manages the Korean handwriting model on the device, and you can delete it from Settings.

Network and permissions

Core typing and Mio stickers work without a product server or network. The iOS Keyboard Extension does not request Full Access and neither reads nor writes the clipboard. Mio images are provided by a separate Sticker Pack in the system emoji keyboard’s sticker area; in supported conversations, the operating system inserts a sticker when you tap it. On Android, the selected PNG is sent only when the current field declares image support. The network is used if you choose to download or delete the Korean handwriting model in the app. Google ML Kit may send Google diagnostics and usage data such as device and app information, identifiers, performance metrics, API configuration, input/output sizes, feature events, errors, and configured language. Google’s disclosure states that handwriting content and recognition result content are not collected. There is no account, advertising, session replay, or remote AI.

3. Website access logs

umgitab.newfrom.net runs on an Amazon Web Services EC2 instance in the Seoul Region. For site delivery and security, the web server keeps the following access logs for up to 30 days and then deletes them automatically.

The site itself uses no cookies, analytics, advertising, browser storage, or contact form.

4. Support email

If you email us, we process your sending address, message, and attachments to answer and follow up on your request. We retain them for one year after the request is resolved, then delete them. A longer period applies only when required by law or needed for a dispute, with the information kept separately. We honor earlier deletion requests where no legal retention duty applies.

Do not send passwords, PINs, one-time codes, actual typed content, or screenshots containing personal information.

5. Processors and disclosure

We do not sell typing content or inquiry information or use it for advertising, profiling, or general-purpose model training.

Before public deployment, we will verify the Google and Zoho contracting entities, processing countries, and retention terms and finalize any required cross-border processing notices.

6. Your rights and deletion

You may request access, correction, deletion, or restriction of support inquiry data and website access records by emailing help@newfrom.net. We ask only for the minimum information needed to verify the request. There is no server-side typing data to delete because the app does not collect it.

7. Security, children, and changes

The public site uses HTTPS, and access to logs and inquiry information is limited to people who need it for their work. UmgiTab does not verify age or knowingly collect children’s personal information.

We will update this page and our store disclosures before changing our data practices. We will not add a feature that transmits typing context without separate notice and explicit consent.
